Most people think socializing their dog with other pups is taking them to a dog park or a doggy daycare. Although these are good options for some dogs, it's not always the best way to go about socializing a dog. Dog parks especially can teach a good dog bad manners and create social problems. These problems can look like rushing up to other dogs to say hi, barking to get the attention of another dog, dismissing their owner when around dogs, trying to be the referee when dogs play around them, or excessive humping. In extreme cases, it can lead to reactivity and aggression towards other dogs. My Pack Walks help teach dogs to exist and enjoy the company of another dog without needing to be in a constant play mode. This is a helpful tool for all dogs, regardless of age, breed, or training background. Pack Walks are a 30 minute walk in your neighborhood with the company of one or both of my dogs. An Evaluation must be done before your dog's first Pack Walk to ensure the safety of my dogs.
